Work and life at camp

Food I made for dinner over the weekend (except for the left-over biscuits).  Frying chicken with sauted onion and green pepper is tasty.  The cucumber and tomato salads are good too!  In season produce is very inexpensive here.

The ladies made shelves and organized the camp sleeping bags and wool blankets

The guys work on setting up the floors for the tents

We organized the food and supplies room.  We have to keep everything in action packers so that the squirrels don't get into the food

We put reinforcing boards under the tent floors

Sorting nails is a never-ending job here with a continuous stream of construction projects.

The organized screw crates

How long will these buckets of screws stay sorted :o)

Clearing land for a new low challenge course element!

Jenelle and I set up a climb and worked on cleaning the moss off the rocks

Jenelle cleaning the climb

Belaying for Jenelle

We took out a wall in the kitchen and plan to move it to close in a dry food storage pantry

We had eight girls for "girl's group" this week!
This week at camp started out on Saturday afternoon. Saturday afternoon and Sunday were spent resting and reflecting on the last few weeks here.  Monday-Thursday we spent a lot of time working on several work projects around camp.  We started "breaking ground" for the new low challenge course this week.  We finished clearing out brush for the first three elements.  It's exciting to be a part of planning, designing, and building the course!  On Friday morning Jenelle and I took the Kombi down to Peja.  We spent the day catching up on things, running errands, preparing and hosting the girl's group, visiting a young lady in Peja, making dinner, and baking cookies for camp.
Next week Jenelle and I are planning to offer some rock climbing as part of the camp activities.  We have a group of 60+ people coming to camp -- our largest group!  As you think of it, pr/y for open hearts as many to hear the good news and for grace as we work together as a team.
